MINISTER VELJA ILIC IN MRAMOR

 Problems of families whose houses were destroyed in the landslide could soon be resolved. Minister of Construction and Urban Planning Velimir Ilic suggested, during a tour of the families whose houses were destroyed in the landslide at Mramor, that they are providing flats in Duvanište. The villagers, as they say, are very satisfied with this proposal. Locals from Mramor are unsuccessfully trying to find a solution for their problem for almost 10 years. Minister Ilic is therefore proposed that the Ministry provide funding for 18 flats in the building of social housing that is built into Duvanište, in order for these people to finally get a roof over ther head. Mayor of Nis, prof. Dr. Zoran Perisic said that he is gladly accepting this idea, because it means solving a big problem.

GABROVAC CONNECTED TO CITY WATER SUPPLY

A STREET NEAR THE SCHOOL IN MRAMOR IS SPRINKLED WITH GRAVEL

 In the village of Mramor the planning of work of the access road next to the forward department of elementary school "Desanka Maksimovic" began. Children from the village will no longer trample mud when they enter the school yard. The works were visited by President of municipality of Palilula Boban Džunić with associates.Palilula municipality is the most populated one and of the largest urban municipalities in Niš, but the living standard of the population is at the very bottom in Serbia, said the president of municipality Boban Džunić. Road infrastructure, water and sewage networks, transportation of people, care for the elderly, improving agricultural productivity are just some of the activities in cooperation with the citizens that we are exercising.

COUNTRY ROAD IS FINISHED IN THE VILLAGE OF MRAMORSKI POTOK

 Villagers of Mramorski Potok will now have easier and quicker access to their land, as these days are ending the making of long country road one mile stretch, on the so-called "Legalo." This is just one of the roads that will be finished until the month of June in the rural area of the municipality of Palilula and the City of Nis."Instead of traveling to the fields for half an hour, now I will need about five minutes. This time it was full of holes, and when it rains we often jam the machinery in mud- says Vladica Marinkovic from Mramorski Potok. The inhabitants of this village, which has about 90 households, are grateful to the municipality of Palilula that regulated this road, because, as they say, all farmers should have these conditions.

ROAD IN PASI POLJANA IS FUNCTIONING AGAIN

 Students of affiliated primary school "Kralj Petar I" in Pasi Poljana will not exceed plowed road to school. Owner of the parcel Radomir Nikolic who plowed the road two days ago, agreed, in consultation with the president of Municipality, to improve access, because as he says, the municipality has contacted all of the institutions that his problem about the legal property of a parcel heritage can be resolved as soon as possible.Owner of the parcel Radomir Nikolic says that the road has been plowed because he was annoyed that he had not been contacted and asked if his plots can be heaped to allow the students access to the school.

 Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia Vanja Udovičić and president of municipality of Palilula-Nis Boban Džunić visited the elementary school Kralj Petar I of Pasi Poljana, where after the gym, Palilula built sports fields for outdoor surfaces for more than 4,400 square meters (volleyball, basketball, handball, tennis courts, jogging trails, jump, athletics track) through the IPA CBC Programme Bulgaria-Serbia.According to the Minister Vanja Udovičić, the importance of such facilities is huge, because it allows the proper development of children.

BUS STOPS IN GABROVAC

This activity was followed by Boban Džunić, president of municipality of Palilula; Predrag Ilic, general secretary of the Federation for Equestrian sport in Serbia; Rajko Dokic, the national team manager for equestrian sport of Serbia; Stanko Bozinovic, doctor of veterinary medicine, as well as many guests and friends of equestrian sports.

LEVEL OF SAFETY FOR STUDENTS

 Primary school "Desanka Maksimovic" in Cokot, Palilula, successfully implemented the project "School without Violence" for the second year. During the project implementation, according to the school Principal Ljiljana Radovanovic Tosic, school earned numerous activities with students, teachers and parents. They had successfully completed the construction of the internal safety net and the level of safety at school was improved. On this occasion, a meeting was held in the presence of the City Municipality of Palilula president, Boban Dzunic, and representatives of the competent authorities, institutions and organizations, in order to establish the mechanism of functioning of external nets in school, promotion actions, achievements and networking relevant institutions dealing with security.

COOPERATION IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY

 Institution for execution of criminal sanctions-Correctional Institute in Nis, located in the territory of the City Municipality of Palilula, after the appointment of a new warden, Lieutenant-Colonel of the Army of Serbia Aleksandar Grbović, is all the more open to cooperation with the local community. According to the Department of Justice and Public Administration, Nis prison is on its way to becoming one of the best prison in Serbia.Late last year, this institution was visited by activists of the Centre for Human Rights and journalists, and last week a correctional center in Nis was visited by Boban Džunić, president of Municipality of Palilula. In conversation with the warden Aleksandar Grbovic, president of Municipality of Palilula said that there is willingness of management and administration of the municipality of Palilula, to achieve better cooperation.
